7 Feb 2026 | Sewing Machines Donated

Reports & Documentation

A wonderful photo of 5 ladies from our village BH29 who are seen collecting 5 hand-operated sewing machines at Victoria Falls. These machines have been very generously donated by UK charity TWAM (Tools With A Mission). They were shipped out from the UK and delivered to Lusaka in Zambia, from where they were sent to Livingstone at the border with Zimbabwe. With the tremendous help of Honorary Consul Mr Michael Davis and of Dr. Clement Mukwasi (pictured with our ladies) of Shearwater Lodge in Victoria Falls, the machines were brought across the border. Two of the ladies are being trained to use the sewing machines by Pathways Charity in Victoria Falls (see photo) and they will train the other three ladies to form a sewing team as one of our diversification projects in the village.
